The #MannquinChallenge has quickly made its way around the internet in the past week, propelling Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles" up the charts and inspiring some impressive tableaus. While the challenge has mostly been a comedic tool, actor Simone Shepherd and the cast of the upcoming film Black In Blue have used the viral trend to call attention to the police murders of unarmed black men.

The actors in the video recreate scenes that show black men being killed by police and the political aftermath of this violence. In the background, audio from Philando Castile's murder, George Zimmerman's 911 call on the night he killed Trayvon Martin, and an excerpt from a Malcolm X speech play.
