Danish, London-based singer and producer CÉCI writes songs that feel like they grow organically. The ominous opening bars of her latest, "Detox," are as sparse as the dead tree branches that loom behind her in the video. Yet by its final bars, the track blossoms into a sort of surreal, syncopated take on '90s R&B.

“'Detox' is a spring cleaning,” CÉCI told The FADER in an email. “It’s about detoxing toxic people out of your life and making space. It is the understanding of what is good for you and and therefore the releasing of the bad. The idea of the video is to make some sort of guarded 'statue of liberty' feeling.
