After her breakout performance as Vanessa in Donald Glover's Atlanta series, Zazie Beetz is headed to the big screen for her first role in a feature film. Beetz has been cast as Domino in Deadpool 2, Ryan Reynolds announced Thursday on Twitter.
The role of Domino in the film has been a trending topic in recent weeks: Kerry Washington was rumored to be testing for the part of Domino, and it was reported Janelle Monáe had all but secured the role. Beetz joins the Marvel movie's previously confirmed cast of Reynolds, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapicic, and Karan Soni. David Leitch, who directed 2014's John Wick, will direct the film.
