Ableton Just Made It A Lot Easier To Learn How To Make Beats

Ableton has launched a new online tutorial website aimed at teaching the basics of making music. The Learning Music site offers a set of free and interactive lessons on the core elements of creating a track, from beats, notes and scales, and chords, to basslines and song structure.

The site assumes no prior knowledge and even uses real songs as examples, breaking down tracks like Beyoncé’s "Single Ladies" to show how it is made from the ground up. Learning Music is the latest move from Ableton to teach users. Earlier this year the company launched video tutorial series, One Thing, in which producers shared their one essential piece of advice to aspiring artists.
