Last night, The Jesus & Mary Chain performed their song "The Two Of Us" on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, with Sky Ferreira on guest vocals. It's one of the songs that the Scottish indie band recorded with Ferreira for their comeback album Damage & Joy. In March, Sky shared an Instagram post about the band's influence on her. "[T]hey have been top 5 favorite bands since I was in middle school," Ferreira wrote. "I even had a poster in my room. Dreams come true 💙"
"The Two Of Us" is taken from Damage & Joy, the Jesus & Mary Chain's first new album in 19 years. The status of Ferreira's sophomore album Masochism is unknown, but she will appear in the upcoming season of Twin Peaks, as well as a film about Norwegian black metal band Mayhem.
