Tyler, The Creator says a soundtrack for The Jellies is on the way

Adult Swim is currently airing The Jellies, a cartoon from Tyler, The Creator and Loiter Squad's Lionel Boyce. Tyler composes the soundtrack, and during a new interview with GQ, he revealed that more of his compositions will be released.

"It's so much music," Tyler said. "It's real scores too, like the intro is a real two-minute song, 'Pop Yo Coochie' is like a real song. A lot of these things are real songs that do exist. One hundred percent you're going to hear some more." Tyler says that "85%" of the music on The Jellies is composed by him for the show.

In July, Tyler discussed at Comic Con why it was important for him to make sure that Lionel Jelly, the show's main character, was black. "How many fuckin' black cartoon characters is it on TV right now? Name five. I'll give you time. It is none... So I said fuck that, we about to make this nigga black, and he ain't got no guns, he ain't shoot no fucking basketball, and he a fucking goober, and we gon' put him on TV."

A representative for Tyler, The Creator declined to comment when reached by The FADER.
