SZA's favorite music in high school might be exactly what you expect if you've spent any time with her debut album Ctrl. In a new interview with Pitchfork, the R&B singer described her teenage go-tos and fashion habits: "I had JNCO jeans and fuckin’ 30 bracelets on at the same time. Just a lot going on. But I listened to Limp Bizkit, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Macy Gray, Nine Inch Nails."

SZA previously discussed the love '90s kids have for the early 2000s era of music, including nu-metal, in Rolling Stone last June. "['90s kids] love Limp Bizkit! [Laughs.] And fucking Gorillaz and Korn and sad teen movies."

Perhaps related is the nickname SZA revealed Rihanna has for her: "ghetto nerd." "It’s so funny," SZA said. I’m like, “What are you talking about?”
