On Monday, Beyoncé and JAY-Z announced their joint tour On The Run II, a follow-up to their 2014 co-headlining concerts. The news came with a poster that, as photographer Ejatu Shaw told OkayAfrica, contains a reference to the 1973 Senegalese film Touki Bouki, also known as Journey of the Hyena.

The motorcycle in the On The Run II poster is very similar to the one found in director Djibril Diop Mambéty's film. Both have an bull skull on the front, and feature a couple riding together.

Djibril Diop Mambéty made Touki Bouki in 1973 for $30,000, and premiered it at Cannes. The film follows a young couple attempting to move to France. Martin Scorsese has lavished the film with praise, calling it "a cinematic poem, made with a raw, wild energy." Watch a trailer below.
