Jamie xx has scored the new movie from director Romain Gavras. The World is Yours, an humorous action movie about a group of gangsters, premiered at Cannes this week. It also features music from French producer SebastiAn.
The World is Yours has received positive reviews from critics at the French film festival, with Variety pointing out its similarities to Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction and praising it as a "a cocky, talky, high-attitude crime saga."
Gavras is best known as a music video director, having created videos from M.I.A., Kanye West & Jay-Z , plus Jamie xx's "Gosh" visual. His debut movie, Our Day Will Come, was released in 2010.
