I love a good summer blockbuster. Is there anything better than watching some explosions in heavy air conditioning on a hot afternoon? But the only movie I really want to see right now is coming out this fall. It's the new remake of A Star Is Born, directed by Bradley Cooper, who also plays the male lead, opposite Lady Gaga. Hopefully the role will bring her one step closer to completing her EGOT.
I've been passively reading updates on this movie since Beyoncé was supposed to star in the iconic role of Esther Hoffman, but this trailer makes me really excited to see the damn thing. A part of me was sincerely worried that Bradley Cooper singing would be...very bad. But the clips of him in this trailer make him sound passable, if not kind of great! Plus, a nice surprise Dave Chapelle cameo? I'm in!
