Drake could be developing a “God’s Plan” game show

He trademarked the phrase for merch and a new television endeavour, according to reports.

Watch out, religious merch bootleggers: Drake has reportedly filed for a trademark for the phrase "God's Plan," the title of his hit Scorpion single. TMZ reports that documents filed by the rapper seek to use the phrase for new merchandise and a potential game show.

The filing could just be a pre-emptive move, though: Drake famously groused about other companies capitalizing on the phrase "YOLO" after he popularized the slogan in the 2011 song "The Motto." The trademark would reportedly also cover "downloadable music, music videos, audio recordings, marketing and promotion," which would prevent unauthorized products and ads from piggybacking on the song's massive success.

Representatives for Drake were not immediately available for comment.

Last week, Drake shared the music video for his other big hit "In My Feelings," and Scorpion spent its fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
