Ariana Grande recently sat down with Ebro Darden on Beats 1 to talk about her latest album Sweetener, and emotions ran high when the conversation shifted to the tragic attack at her Manchester, England show in 2017 that took the lives of 23 people and injured dozens more. Grande has been forthcoming about dealing with the tragedy's aftermath and explained taking her healing to the studio on the track "Get Well Soon", breaking down in the process.

"It's just about being there for each other and helping each other through scary times and anxiety," she told Darden through tears. "There's just some dark shit out there, man. We just have to be there for each other as much as we can. You just never fucking know."

Grande went on to explain that the song is just as much about individual traumas as public ones. "It's also about personal demons and anxiety and more intimate tragedies as well," she explained, stressing the importance of mental health. "People don't pay enough mind to it because we have things to do....It's why I felt like it was important to give people a hug, musically."
