Going out to shows solo is (unfairly, imo) maligned as lame. The pressure can even stop you from going to a gig you've been anticipating, and Rina Sawayama has announced a solution for single fans interested in attending her upcoming tour. "I know it can be intimidating to go to shows alone so I made wristbands for u," the rising pop artist wrote to her fanbase – the Pixels – on Twitter. "If you're coming alone, collect your free wristbands at the venue (or at the queue) and if you see any fellow Pixels wearing them say hi."

Check out her tweet below. Already the idea seems to be having the intended effect: "i’m gonna make it my duty to talk to anyone who is wearing one of these (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)" wrote @grannyfranny__ on Twitter.
