Cook LaFlare is a 26-year-old rapper from Cincinnati, Ohio, whose voice sticks to your brain after hearing it. I first heard him on Hoodrich Keem’s Bodeine Withdrawals 3 where he featured on his Lil Yachty-featuring track “Fighter Jet,” and have been hooked since.

He’s got a deeply raspy and musical sing-to-rap sound that can be heard on his new song “Warrior,” premiering today on The FADER. It's a motivational song about fighting 'til the end, and in his words, “a smooth, exciting banger,” which is pretty accurate! If I were still in my competitive sports bag, this would be a great pre-game warm-up playlist addition. There’s also this catchy-ass hum on there that’ll definitely be stuck in your head for a few days.

Over email, Cook shared that the song’s the first single from his upcoming Finesse James 2 tape. Listen to the track above, listen to more from Cook on his Soundcloud, and keep an eye out for more from him before the end of the year.
