Sharon Van Etten will return with her first album in five years, Remind Me Tomorrow, next year. So far we have heard the spiky, high-energy "Comeback Kid" and today brings another new song from the singer-songwriter's new record. "Jupiter 4" is a slow-burning mood piece lit up by theremin and synths. It comes acompanied by a suitably dark video Van Etten describes in a statement as having an "apocalyptic mom" vibe.
The video was directed by Katherine Dieckmann, with whom Van Etten worked on Strange Weather two years ago. “I had been looking forward to collaborating with Katherine again since finishing our work together on her film in 2016, Van Etten said in a statement. "Since wrapping the film, she has not only been a guiding force in my work, but a light and guiding force in my life as well, sharing with me stories of how she and her husband made it work with two kids as artists living in New York and encouraging me to return to my music after my son was born."
