For those not familiar with British TV show Eastenders it might be a little late to catch up. The soap opera has been on almost daily since 1985 so that's a pretty serious binge-watch. However, London-based artist Pauli The PSM has distilled one recent storyline into a gorgeous alt-pop song to save your time and effort.

Pauli, who plays drums in Sampha's band and has also worked with FKA Twigs, Jamie xx, and Gorillaz, sings about the importance of having faith in a loved one on "One Of Those Guys (Max Branning Theme)." "I know you think I'm cheating... I can't deny, I'm one of those guys." he sings over soft, dreamy synths, directly mirroring a plotline involving the cockney show's unlikely lothario.

Speaking to The FADER via email, Pauli said: “Trust is the most important part of a relationship, closely followed by communication. I used this song to explore themes around the breakdown of trust in a relationship and how it could be communicated without rationalising the subject’s infidelity. I’ve kept the narrative open to the audience’s interpretation of the character’s situation.”
