Drake dominates Spotify’s end of year stats

“God’s Plan” was the most streamed track and Scorpion was the most streamed album.

Spotify has revealed the most streamed artists, tracks, and albums of 2018 with Drake once again proving hugely popular on the streaming platform.

With the release of Scorpion in June, Drake ensured he ends the year as the most streamed artist of the past 12 months with the biggest album and individual track ("God's Plan"). In total his music was streamed 8.2 billion times this year.

Outside of Drake, Spotify confirmed on Tuesday that Ariana Grande is its most-streamed female artist of 2018. The "Thank U, Next" artist has 49m monthly listeners and her music was streamed more than 3 billion times in 2018.
