January is a time for making resolutions and vowing to yourself that the coming year wil be different to the one just passed. This coming January lo-fi band Eerie Wanda will release their second album Pet Town. Today sees the arrival of new song "Sleepy Eyes" and it is one that fits nicely with making peace with the idea that self-improvement is a tricky thing to master. "Have no time wake up, no time to be sober" vocalist Marina Tadic sings over loosely strummed guitars buzzing with slacker energy. "Don't make me do things over."

Speaking to The FADER via email, Tadic said: "'Sleepy eyes' is about feeling down and wanting to just be home, away from the world. Don't be fooled by the intro; it's not an Elvis cover. In the video you can see me practicing rock 'n roll moves in front of a puppet audience."
