Cardi B's performance at Rolling Loud last weekend was interrupted by her estranged husband Offset, though many on the internet debated whether or not his failed attempt at reconciliation was a promotional stunt. Twitter user Tariq Nasheed claimed to have found a smoking gun on Sunday, posting video footage of Cardi B's publicist Patience Foster guiding Offset to the stage during Cardi's performance.

After suffering an online pile-on from Cardi fans and haters, Patience shared a statement on Instagram Stories. She wrote: "The good we try to do and the efforts we make to right our wrongs is only intended for the people we wish to be on the receiving end."

Cardi B stood by Foster in her own Instagram Story, writing "Fan or not you talk about my publicist/friend you can eat a d*ck PERIOD." She expanded in an Instagram Live session, which you can watch in full below via HotNewHipHop.

In her video, Cardi thanks Patience for her loyalty and support. She indicates that Patience was simply trying to help Offset, who is also her client. "She was trying to help a man that was telling her 'Yo, I love my wife. Please help me get my wife.' 'Cause she told me what happened." Cardi also says that she has battled depression in 2018 over fair-weather friends, which has heightened her appreciation for her publicist. "Yeah sometimes she does a little bit more, you wanna know why? Because we are a family."

Rolling Loud co-founder Tariq Cherif issued a statement on Sunday denying the festival's involvement in Offset's surprising of Cardi B. "We have never and will never do anything to change a headliner's set," the statement read. "We were tipped off that something was going to happen, but had nothing to do with the organization or execution of it."
