On Monday night, CupcakKe alarmed fans with a tweet declaring that she was about to commit suicide. The Chicago rapper then reposted the tweet to her Instagram account, saying "thank you for everything y'all have done for me I really appreciate it." Now, CupcakKe's friend Elijah Daniel is confirming via the Chicago Police Department that the Eden rapper has been located and is safe at a hospital.
CupcakKe has since issued a statement via Twitter confirming her safety. "I’ve been fighting with depression for the longest ..sorry that I did it public last night but I’m ok," she wrote on Tuesday night. "I went to the hospital & im finally getting the help that I need to get through , be happy , & deliver great music."
