Is Lil Uzi Vert officially out of retirement? On Thursday afternoon, the Philly rapper quietly uploaded a new single, aptly titled "Free Uzi," to his SoundCloud and Tidal. He later posted the cover art to his Instagram, after wiping all previous posts. "Free Uzi," which borrows the beat from G Herbo's "Gangway," is currently only up on Tidal and SoundCloud. In a statement to The Fader, Atlantic Records wrote "This is a leaked record. Not official."

Earlier this week, tensions between Lil Uzi Vert and Generation Now label boss DJ Drama reached a new high when Drama wrote on Instagram that Uzi can "put [Eternal Atake] out tomorrow or any day he wants" and "has me & Cannon's total support and blessings to drop it!" Later in the week, Uzi's name was added to the artist management roster on Roc Nation's website. When asked if Lil Uzi Vert had leaked "Free Uzi" himself, considering his posts about the song on his Instagram, a rep from Atlantic Records declined to comment.
