Speaking in a recent Time interview, Lil Nas X shouted out Young Thug as being "one of the biggest pioneers" of the country trap sound that he has popularized with "Old Town Road." Now it looks like things are going to come full circle with Thug teasing a remix of the No.1 song in the country on his Instagram. The post, shared on Tuesday morning, features a snippet of the rapper's unmistakable vocals over the Lil Nas X original. Check it out above.
Young Thug's take on "Old Town Road" would, of course, be the second remix of the song following Billy Ray Cyrus's version, released last week. The original version of the song made headlines after being removed from Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart for failing to meet the genre stipulations.
