Obongjayar’s inventive “Frens” video is pure sunshine

Since emerging a couple of years ago, London's Obongjayar has toured with King Krule and contributed to XL Recordings label boss Richard Russell's Everything Is Recorded project in addition to his own idiosyncratic music. His latest single, the melodic and celebratory "Frens" is arguably his best to date and is now accompanied by a music video you can see above.
Directed by Duncan Loudon and shot using a baby monitor, the "Frens" video is a free and intimate portrait of a young pregnant woman living in a high rise building in London. Filled with natural light and joyful dancing, it's bound to give your day a much-needed boost.
Obongjayar plays his first headline show at London's Bussey Building on April 24.
