Tales is a fictional show with each episode inspired by existing hip-hop and R&B songs — for example, the pilot episode was titled "Fuck the Police," after the N.W.A. song "Fuck tha Police." Gotti says the upcoming, as-yet-untitled Kanye song is the basis for the second season's premiere episode. He promises that it is a "hot" song that is "worldly [and] brotherly," and not a joke track like "Lift Yourself."

Gotti says the song is co-produced by himself and longtime collaborator Channel 7. Both men worked on "Violent Crimes," a song on Kanye's 2018 album ye.
