Charli XCX and Christine and the Queens’ colossal new track “Gone” has arrived

With Charli XCX's long-anticipated third album Charli finally due to release this September, there's an arsenal of elysian pop collaborations to look forward to. The first on the track list is a song called "Gone" with French funk precisionist Christine and the Queens (or, as she's been going by lately, just Chris), and today, weeks after the two performed the song at Primavera Sound, it's out in the world.

Bolstered by some hefty beats from A.G. Cook, "Gone" centers Charli and Chris around a capacious groove, actualizing the crushing weight of agoraphobia and proceeding to launch it out of the stratosphere. "The emotions that come alongside anxiety are so huge and crippling," Charli wrote of the song in an Instagram post. "This song is about breaking down but it’s also about breaking free. It feels like one big external scream."

"Gone" arrives with an equally strapping video, which finds the duo liberating themselves from the confines of a roped up automobile. Watch it, and peep the full itinerary for Charli's massive upcoming tour, below. Charli is out September 13 via Atlantic Records
