SZA sat down with Kerwin Frost for a new interview shared on Monday, and gave an update on the long-awaited follow-up to her debut album Ctrl. She says her sophomore album is coming "soon as fuck" and revealed that she's been working in the studio with Post Malone, Justin Timberlake, and BROCKHAMPTON. Watch above via Genius.

The studio session took place the day before the interview was filmed. "We made a really cool song and I couldn’t believe it,” SZA says. “We’re on the same label I heard, which I didn’t know until yesterday. And he was like, ‘I wanna work with you' and I was like, 'Why?’ And he was like, ‘Shut up, let’s just make stuff.’ And we did and it was really great.”

While she was initially intimidated to work with Timberlake, SZA says he was a good fit for her workflow. "When I heard his music and we started singing together and the harmonies and the note choices that we were finding together, it’s like, ‘Oh, we speak the same language.'" Her recent studio sessions have also involved Post Malone, BROCKHAMPTON, and producer Jack Antonoff.
