Shawn Mendes, originally only set to perform "Señorita" with popstar girlfriend Camila Cabello, performed his track "If I Can't Have You" live at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards earlier tonight. Performing with a full band, Mendes gave an impassioned vocal when singing the number 2-charting hit, capping it all off with an honestly kinda jaw-dropping falsetto. Watch the performance below.
The 2019 VMAs are being held Monday evening at New Jersey's Prudential Center. Hosted by comedian Sebastian Maniscalo, the 36th annual award show has Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift leading the way with 10 nominations each, and Missy Elliott receiving the esteemed Video Vanguard Award.
