Lauren Jauregui on mental health: “learning to discipline yourself is self-care”

Jauregui will join Lizzo, Tegan and Sara, Shawn Mendes, Halsey, and more for “I’m Listening,” a two-hour radio special aiming to destigmatize conversations around mental illness.

This weekend, Lizzo, Tegan and Sara, Shawn Mendes, Halsey, Disturbed, Blink-182, Lauren Jauregui and more will join forces for "I'm Listening," a two-hour live broadcast aiming to destigmatize the conversation on mental illness. The radio special will air across all of Entercom stations and digital platforms on Sunday, September 8 at 7a.m., but just ahead of that, Jauregui sat down with the broadcaster to discuss her own experiences.

"To be honest, sometimes I have those moments and epiphanies, and sometimes I don't. It depends on how intense the anxiety attack is," she explains in a video preview above. "Sometimes it's coupled with depression. That mentality is hard to get out of when you're drowning in the negativity you see around you."
