Yung Lean and Bladee team up once again for “Opium Dreams”
Watch the video for their newest Whitearmor-produced track ahead of tomorrow’s RIFT One compilation.
Even in lockdown, Drainers stay well-fed. On the heels of Yung Lean's newest LP Starz which dropped back in May, and Bladee's EXETER which arrived the month prior, the lads are back once again. Their newest collaboration, "Opium Dreams," pictures them deep in a skeletal forest, harnessing the potential of true lethargy. As is par for the course, the track is embellished with the palatial sounds of producer Whitearmor. Watch the video (filmed by Gustav Stegfors and edited by Ecco2k) above.
"Opium Dreams" arrives ahead of YEAR0001's forthcoming compilation RIFT One, which drops on Bandcamp tomorrow (July 8). The project features new tracks from both Bladee and Lean's side project jonatan leandoer96, as well as Namasenda, Thaiboy Digital, Palmistry, and more. In a statement, the Stockholm-based label writse that all of the proceeds from the compilation will be donated "directly to community bail funds, mutual aid funds, and racial justice organisers."
