Megan Thee Stallion took to Instagram Live soon after the release of "WAP," her new song with Cardi B, to take fan questions about the collaboration and much more. Eventually, the questions shifted to discuss a recent altercation that left her with gunshot wounds in both feet; something she has already referred to as the "worst experience of [her] life."

"What did you feel after getting shot?" a fan asked on the stream, prompting the rapper to talk about the situation and how some have been making jokes at her expense in its aftermath. "I feel like this is a thing that I see every single day and I see so many women and I see so many men talking shit about this," she said. "But shit was crazy and I feel like some people think that it's funny and some people think that it's a joke and I feel like some people are saying that to get to me."

She went on to add that she felt betrayed but despite the experience, she chooses to remain positive. "It's not fun, bitch," she said. "I don't understand. I just felt very betrayed by a friend. I felt very betrayed by all my friends. I felt very shocked, very scared... I'm not a person who is able to be down for a long time … I don't like to be victimized. I don't like to feel like 'Oh my god, Megan, something's wrong.' I like to be upbeat. I like to be happy."
