Since their inception, CHAI have made radically positive music. Today, they share "WHOLE," the theme song to Koi-senu Futari, a new Japanese network romantic comedy series about an asexual, aromantic couple. Bubbly, upbeat, and easy on the ears, the new track is the perfect soundtrack to a celebration of universal, unconditional love.

"Sometimes, no one empathizes with you," says Yuuki, the band's bassist and chief lyricist, on the meaning of the song. "But is that really a bad thing? I don’t want to make my thing, or someone else’s thing, something to be ashamed of. Because our ‘differences’ may not be our enemies. I wish we could love each other’s little differences and little similarities entirely– that’s the hope behind this song.”

Next month, CHAI will headline eight shows in the midwest and northeast before joining Mitski for a month of sold-out performances. They'll end their tour in March with four more headlining sets on the west coast.
