The 1975 have shared a video for new song "Happiness." The single, co-produced by Jack Antonoff, is the latest to be lifted from the band's forthcoming album Being Funny In A Foreign Language, out October 14, and follows "Part Of The Band."
In a new interview with Apple Music, frontman Matty Healy said of the new song: “It came through, like, jamming. And we haven't done that in years. So we just wanted this record to be like a captured moment and not be too constructed and even produced that much…we did it in like a day or so. And it's us having fun."
Being Funny In A Foreign Language is the follow-up to 2020’s Notes on a Conditional Form. The new album was recorded at both Real World Studios in Wiltshire, England, and Electric Lady Studios in New York. The 1975 are set to perform on August 20 and 21 at Japan’s Summer Sonic festivals in Tokyo and Osaka.
