Kid Cudi has suggested he will release one final album before reassessing his options, saying he does not know what the future hold. The rapper was posting on Twitter over the weekend when he told fans he owes his record label one more project. The tweets came after a recent interview in which Cudi said he is "nearing the end" of his music career.
In the tweets Cudi said he will "keep [fans] posted" on the progress of his next, possibly final, album but that it won't be out until 2024 at the earliest. "Im doin 1 more album and then im done w my deal and not sure what ima do after that but yea, 1 more," he tweeted. "Wont be next year. Keep u posted."
In a later tweet, Cudi added: "This is for all my fans that have been ridin w me for so long. This will be all new music. The songs ive teased ill prolly put out as singles here and there to hold u over."

It was during a Hot Ones interview last month that Cudi first floated the idea of a possible retirement from music. “I’m kinda nearing the end on all things Kid Cudi,” he said while working his way through his spicy wings. The revelation came when he was discussing rap icons like JAY-Z and Eminem who perform and release music well into middle age. “I feel like, I don’t have what they have,” Cudi said. “I just don’t know if I want to do… music, drop albums for too much longer.”
Cudi's latest album, Entergalactic, was released in September. It acted as the soundtrack to a Netflix animated special of the same name featuring Jessica Williams, Laura Harrier, and Timothée Chalamet among others. Cudi has developed a sideline in acting in recent years, appearing in movies such as A24 horror X as well as HBO drama We Are Who We Are.
