Blondshell announces debut album, shares new song “Joiner” Press

Blondshell, the singer-songwriter whose grungy 2022 singles "Sepsis" and "Kiss City" marked her as an artist able to match jagged musicality with a gnarly degree of honesty, has announced details of her debut album. Blondshell will be released on April 7 via Partisan Records with new song "Joiner" streaming below.

In a statement, Blondshell (a.k.a. Sabrina Teitelbaum) said "Joiner" was inspired by prestige TV and indie bands of the 1990s. "I was listening to a lot of Britpop when I wrote this song," Teitelbaum says."A lot of those bands (The Verve, Pulp, Suede, Blur etc.) channeled dark subject matter, drugs, and all this dirty stuff, but with a fun acoustic guitar under it. I was listening to The Replacements, too. That’s what this song was inspired by sonically. I wanted it to feel like you’re watching HBO, where even though it’s heavy, it’s still a good time."

Blondshell is currently on the road playing North American dates as support for Suki Waterhouse. The tour stops at New York’s Webster Hall on January 28 and wraps up with two nights in Los Angeles on February 10-11. She will also appear at this year's SXSW in Austin, Texas.
