Patiently Waiting

We went to the pre-release listening sesh for Joe Budden's The Growth MONTHS ago, and there's still no sign of any on-sale date for NJ's best rapper not named Redman. Which is a damn shame, because for our money, Joey is one of the better rhymesmiths doing it today: clever, introspective, boastful and self-effacing in the same line. His new freestyle (with Stack Bundles) over Kanye's "We Major" just serves to remind us of all that. We're going to spend the rest of the day working on LET JOE GO! t-shirts (we get 'em for cheap), but in the meantime, y'all out there in webland should track down the better "leaked" tracks from The Growth ("Dumb Out", "You In That Mood Yet?", and the Just Blaze heater "Fuel") and JB's optimistically titled I'm Back mixtape with DJ Envy - because it looks like we're gonna be here a while.
