We've definitely slapped some "WRITE AKON BLOG!" notes around the desk the past few weeks, reminding us to post about the snippet of his wildly poppy Gwen Stefani team-up, the Amadou and Miriam remix he quietly did over the summer (did y'all not know about that either?), about the recently leaked collabs from Bone Thugs, Styles P and Juvenile's new albums...there was even gonna be a post discussing how Akon's song with Papoose is the first song in history where Pap doesn't sound completely like a hoarse teenager. Ok, that one was really just an excuse to crack wise about how Kay Slay needs to stop yelling at Green Lantern and maybe invest in a good microphone - but we digress. The point is, Akon is doing the damn thing!
