Party In His Pants

Sometimes an artist is so awesome and goodvibe-emitting that it doesn’t really matter what kind of music they are making. We’ve always kinda felt this way about Andrew WK, the piano virtuoso turned “pure fun” proponent. We missed Andrew when he performed with Hanson at The Supper Club, so we hit up Andrew WK’s High-Way Party Cruiser Tour on its Seattle and Portland stops. We didn’t really know what to expect, but Andrew headbanging while playing piano, headbanging while singing, headbanging while talking to fans that climbed up on stage during the performance, crowd surf, and pretty much go nuts was definitely what we got. We also got an Andrew WK lecture where he talked about life, touring, his connections with fans, and why he wears all white (because it looks awesome). We’re not saying his albums are going to change your life or anything (they might), but maybe they will make you party hard and, like, throw some (loving) ‘bows with a whole lot of other fun-loving people. And in case you were wondering if AWK has changed up his show recently, he hasn't.
