Contest: Win Tickets to see Jessica 6, Body Language, Yes Giantess and Brahms
- story THE FADER
Whether you’ve realized it yet or not, you probably love Jessica 6—who acted as a backing band for Hercules & Love Affair. So for those of you that are up on it: good job! You can win tickets courtesy of Cantora and Big Live to see them along with Body Language, Yes Giantess and Brahms this Wednesday at Santos Party House. If you’re not familiar: a bunch of bands are playing and it’ll be fun. Try and win tickets, it can’t hurt. So yeah, pretty basic. Hit us in the comments—just say hi or whatever, no big deal. But remember to use a real email address so we can let you know you won.
Contest: Win Tickets to See Freddie Gibbs and Tanlines
- story THE FADER
What’s up, crazy lineup! We never would have pegged Freddie Gibbs’ ultra-depressing midwestern narratives as a good match for Tanlines’ not depressing, poppy jams. But you know what? We listen to both pretty regularly, and you probably do too, so maybe it’s not that weird. If you want to turn your iTunes playlist into a live show experience tell us how your day has been going in the comments and we’ll pick a few lucky winners to hit the Jan 19th show at the Highline Ballroom, also featuring Mickey Factz, Das Racist and Gordon Voidwell. Keep it short and remember to use a real email address so we can let you know you won.
Contest: Win the New X Rocawear Fragrance And Mixtape
- story THE FADER
It’s already been 10 years since Jay-Z first began Rocawear but seems like just yesterday we spied him being interviewed backstage in a screen-printed prototype Rocawear t-shirt. Since then though, the brand has grown by leaps and bounds and is crossing another frontier with the release of X Rocawear, the definitive fragrance of hip hop’s most notable “business, maaaan.” In honor of Rocawear’s 10th Anniversary, we’re giving away a bottle of the new fragrance and a copy of the X Rocawear-sponsored Cornerstone Mixtape (made by the fam on the other side of the building) to five winners, and only the fragrance to the next five. All you have to do is send the answer to the following question to contests@thefader.com.
On which album cover is Jay-Z wearing a Rocawear jean suit?

Contest: Win a Limited-Edition Property Of X Pendleton Bag
- story THE FADER
When the first samples of this limited edition Property Of x Pendleton bag came in to the office a few months ago for a photo shoot, it was almost impossible to keep our hands off them. There were only 200 of this particularly gorgeous shoulder bag created, and we now have one to give away to the first person who can tell us the year that Property Of was launched, and the year Pendleton was founded. Subtract those two answers and hit us with the difference and a contact email in the comments.

ATL: Win Tickets to See/Hang Out with Raekwon
Atlanta, Raekwon is a pride of New York, and Only Built from Cuban Linx 2 was an instant classic… but you already know. Do you also know he is an awesome dude? He came to our office one time not so long ago and hung out and ate grapes out of a bag and talked to us about being a ladies’ man for a long time. We’d like to share the opportunity, so we’re not only giving away two pair of tickets to his show at Masquerade this Saturday, December 5, we’re giving you the proverbial keys to his brain/heart at a special private meet and greet with the man himself. All you have to do to enter is email RaekwonAtlanta@gmail.com with your name, age and location and mention The FADER in the subject. Good luck!
