Last night at Studio B, amid the revelry and free Bass pale ale we watched Timbaland's new tongue-twisty rapper Izza Kizza perform what was apparently his first concert ever, followed by Santogold's Diplo backed set of awesome songs from her upcoming record, flanked by her own gunless versions of Public Enemy's S1Ws who were doing lots of choreographed military style maneuvers. Each year on Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday, every DJ in Miami brings his and her soundsystem to Liberty City, a neighborhood on the northwestern edge of town, to battle for supremacy.
