Our desolate simplicity is white T-shirts in packets of three and Woolrich socks. Sometimes it’s not that deep. But then our hero Jean Touitou of APC shows us the nobility in the regular. Amongst his ten essential items: soap, water, tea and white sheets to “cover shitty art in a hotel.” It’s an affliction to not be French.
