Holy Shit: Kramer’s Ergot #7
- story THE FADER
The bright side to these trying economic times is that every big purchase we make is a deeply considered one. Take the Sammy Harkham-started/David Kramer-inspired anthology Kramer’s Ergot, which is now reaching its seventh installment. It’s a full-grown human being-sized collection of artwork and comic strips from some of our favorite artists, including Chris Ware, Harkham, Frank Santoro and Matt Furie, whose page looks like he took all the characters from our seven-inch cover and had them meet on a beach. Besides featuring some pretty important artists, the book is big enough to act as a tent or lean-to under which we might live if things get more dire. Our only question: Can we get a free copy if we promise to cherish it forever? What about if we also use it as a makeshift kid’s table next Thanksgiving? Order your copy here, and check out a full list of contributors here.

LA: Hope Gallery
- story THE FADER
Sometimes we wake up on the morning like Man what if today is the day when we figure out how to do everything ever and still be the raddest dudes while doing it? Cali Dewitt probably doesn’t think about this at all, because he is a Rad Dude who, with David Kramer of Family Bookstore, has started a gallery called…Hope Gallery. The grand opening is in LA tonight, so if you are there soaking in the sunrays, stop by.
