NYC: Bacardi B-Live Pre-Show With Egg Foo Young

Last night at Greenhouse in Lower Manhattan, a cavalcade of party-lovers and dancefloor freaks convened to pregame for the upcoming Bacardi B-Live tour in NYC, going down June 17. Amid the sparkle of flashing lights and a jilliion tiny discoballs hanging from the ceiling like rave stalactites, FADER-beloved DJ Egg Foo Young played a fire-y selection of house, R&B, and dancefloor beats. Photos were shot. Mojitos were imbibed. The world’s best-selling soprano was randomly in the house. A certain FADER editor may have been coerced by her coworkers into having a vogue-style dance-off with a raver chick. It was four hours of awesome and we’d do it all again. More photos of the madness after the jump, and follow the rest of the tour right here.

NYC: Dre Day 2009

The unseasonable New York warmth of the last couple weeks had us prematurely breaking out every Cali classic we own in celebration. While temperatures may be dropping back toward zero, that doesn’t mean you have to stash The Chronic in your shortpants drawer just yet because tomorrow is Dr. Dre’s birthday, and to celebrate we’re going to hit Santos Party House for the 2nd annual Dre Day featuring Nick Hook, Egg Foo Young, Project Matt and hosted by Cosmo Baker and Dances with White Girls. Besides an assortment of unimpeachable jams, there will also be a 40 oz open bar, which is simultaneously the best and worst idea we’ve ever heard. RSVP here for reduced admission and check the full flyer after the jump.
