David Byrne To Play Free Show Kicking Off The Celebrate Brooklyn Season
Celebrate Brooklyn’s Green Gala is a bit too costly for the chump change in our pockets, but really, who needs cocktails and a fancy dinner when David Byrne is playing for free? (Well, there’s a $3 suggested donation, but we are willing to throw down some spare pocket change in exchange for some amazing music in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park.) Jackson Browne Won't Let McCain's Case Rest In Battle Over Copyright
In lieu of everything controversial surrounding governmental crack downs on illegal internet downloading and copyright infringement laws, it looks like staunch republican Senator John McCain is in a mess of heightening trouble for violating singer/songwriter Jackson Browne’s right to intellectual property. McCain and his political crew used Browne’s song “Running on Empty” without permission, and just like that chronically ill teenager, there’s no escaping the penalties on this one for Sen.
