FADER TV: Matt & Kim and Major Lazer Sign Off in Austin

We are coming to the end of a long and loud and rum-flavored tour, but before it does, here’s one last video of your fav DJ’s Major Lazer, Autoerotique, and A-Trak. Kim said her last farewell to our videographer John Bollozos, and in true form, Major Lazer had a lady in a very shiny outfit on stage keeping the crowd dancing. We appreciate that. Austin, Texas, you sure had a lot to offer us. We’ll be back there one day, in the land of barbecued ribs and big guns. B-LIVE OUT!

FADER TV: On The Road With Bacardi B-LIVE Episode 20 – New Orleans

DJ AM, DJ Jazzy Jeff, and Matt & Kim entertained the beaded masses in New Orleans on this very special episode of On The Road With Bacardi B-LIVE. AM and Jazzy Jeff’s interview in the stairwell was actually interrupted by some voluptuous ladies who invited the boys to another bar with them. Sadly, the offer was declined. But we did learn that AM rode the same train as Jazzy when they were growing up in Philly, AND that he loves FADER 62’s cover artist Phoenix. So all’s well that ends well? FADER TV: On The Road With Bacardi B-LIVE Episode 19 – Orlando

Bacardi B-LIVE 2009 visited the land of sunshine, palm trees and potbellies in Tweety Bird tees with Matt & Kim, A-Trak and DJ Jazzy Jeff.  Disney World must have jogged some Matt & Kim memories because they both were in the mood for reminiscing—specifically about the time Matt rented a Sebring convertible for a winter tour.  Kim told a story about why she wouldn’t steal gum from A-Trak (and then proceeded to eat his cashews). FADER TV: On The Road With Bacardi B-LIVE Episode 18 – Atlanta

Bacardi B-LIVE took it to the South for a good old fashioned dance party in Atlanta with Matt & Kim, MSTRKRFT, and A-Trak. Earlier in the series, you might have seen Matt & Kim rocking their own songs pretty hard, but this time they’re playing a well-known classic, enjoyed at sporting events and hipster hangouts alike. Watch their rendition of Final Countdown and stay tuned for some A-Trak jams!

Bacardi B-LIVE hit Charlotte, North Carolina last week for an old-fashioned dance party and some chillin’ at the Holiday Inn with A-Trak.  Trizzy is no stranger to The FADER blog, but we thought it would be nice to get him out from behind his laptop and in front of our cameras.  The good news is that he loved our new website.  The even better news is that he played a track from the soon-to-be-released Kid Sister album for the first time for the people of Charlotte!  Stay tuned for more episodes from future dates along the way including interviews, live performances and who knows what else only on FADER TV.

It’s been a minute since we just sat back and enjoyed the energy-rock stylings of FADER Label’s Matt & Kim on the Bacardi B-LIVE 2009, so when the duo rejoined the party train in the nation’s capital recently, we just pointed and shot and it turned out pretty good. As Bacardi B-Live 2009 rolled into Philly, it wisely added that city’s most storied DJ, Diplo, and his infamous UK Major Lazer partner, Switch, to the bill. Coincidentally, these dudes are also on the cover of The FADER’s brand new issue. We interviewed them issue and it is a great read. Such a great read that we decided to interview them again for FADER TV. Maybe we’ll interview them again next week. And the week after that. Bacardi B-LIVE 2009 and Beantown came together for some unBelievably Bonkers Bananatownery recently, so of course we hit up Best Beatjuggler under the Big Blue Sky… oh, it’s A-Trak, sorry about that, thought it was a B thing. Anyway! Dude is still nice with it! He blogs excellently for FADER and is one of the nicest dudes we know. So of course as soon as we had the chance we caught up with him to talk about his progression as a DJ and his globetrotting prowess.
