We could TOTALLY make fun of Memphis Bleek for the millionth time, but whatever dudes, its been done. This song is cool with us because Memphis Bleek implies that he has actually been hibernating since things went weird with the Roc, but then he basically ushers in a new era and says that Rocafella is back, which isn’t exactly news, but it’s still an exciting sentiment. We aren’t necessarily cosigning Bleek, but we are cosigning the concept of Rocafella coming back.

Neither rain nor sleet nor gloom of night can keep us from our appointed rounds – namely, a Memphis Bleek listening party. Braving last night’s slushy hell (what is it with these album previews and bad weather?), Bleek gathered ye olde posse in the Sony studios for a peekaboo of his upcoming album 534 (named for the Marcy address where he and Shawn Carter cut they teeth) and got deep with us, kicking off the sesh by telling us that if he doesn’t finally make it with this, his fourth album, “I’m gonna quit.” You gotta respect thug humility from one of the Roc’s favored sons. Look to the hopefully-not-so-shitty skies for a drop on 5/17.
