When Ciara’s Fantasy Ride album outtakes leaked in 1847, someone sent us this song in an email with the subject header, “Blue Collar Realness.” As in, Ciara fully made this track for the banjee set, right? This is the song you want playing when you’re killing in a vogue battle. Further evidence: this campy, literal video with some tractor landing pier as a runway and her choreography when she sings “put some snap into it.” She’s inching on that Beyonce tranny territory, we love it!

Our 3-D glasses are in the shop, so at first we were scared to watch the new Missy Elliott video for “Ching-A-Ling / Shake Your Pom Pom.” Would it give us epleptic seizures, like that Queens woman who had to get lobotomized so she could listen to Sean Paul? Would we suddenly turn into Jessica Alba in The Eye, and start seeing dead people trying to ghost-freak Missy and stick rogue Kid ‘n’ Plays into the choreography?
We didn’t watch it for like four days.
But finally, the song’s mondo horn section, tambourines and posse “AY”s grew on us – and we gave in.

Sure, the two Missy songs from The Cookbook that dropped this week are dope and all (for the record, we prefer the weird Pharrell one to the Ciara-N-Cybotron joint), but did y’all know she has her own GAUNTLETS, too?
The wrist accoutrements pictured above came attached to the Fall lookbook for Misdemeanor’s Respect ME line. Dunno how effective they are at deflecting bullets, but the leather/shoelace accessories are real fly nonetheless. Tony Starks is gonna be jealous…
