The-Dream Catcher
- story THE FADER
The-Dream’s album Love/Hate is out today. Thank GOD. Acrostic City, we live there (after the jump, friends).
The-Dream Team
- story THE FADER
The-Dream’s album is out tomorrow! We love it so much we feel like we birthed it ourselves; our hips to your ears. But we didn’t. Instead we made acrostic poems for every song title on Love/Hate. Three of them are after the jump and one of them references Pocahontas. Who else does that? We da best, except for DJ Khaled who is possibly better.
Dare to Dream!
- story THE FADER
Because we are auteurs and not mathematicians (it’s been a slow downhill since high school calculus) we divided wrong and now you only get two poems today and then four each on Monday and Tuesday. But you also get this bonus “Falsetto” video. And, shit, the poems are acrostics from The-Dream’s songs “She Needs My Love” and “Falsetto” and we promise you are better than 2004-2006 US Poet Laureate Ted Kooser’s poems (We hate him. Remember that poem he wrote about his birthday and sitting in the dark with a book? That was garbage. Turn the light on, dog. A forced moment is not a moment!) but probably not as good 2003-2004 US Poet Laureate Louise Glück because you cannot be as good as her. Check after the jump if we are wrong (but we’re right—screw Kooser!)
Our-Dream
- story THE FADER
In honor of The-Dream’s album Love Hate release on Tuesday, our private watermarked piece of joy’s birth into the world, we wrote (thematically consistent!) acrostics for each of the song titles. We’ll be posting them, four at a time (in track order) for the next four (business) days. Check “Shawty is da Shit,” “I Love Your Girl,” “Fast Car,” and “Nikki” after the jump.
