Video: Feist, “Honey Honey”

At some point earlier this year, there was talk in the office of doing an all-puppet issue, but it got scrapped because it turns out not many people want to see our hands in a sock on the cover of The FADER. One of the key figures in that early brainstorming session was Leslie Feist because of her relation to Gonzales and his predilection for puppetry. And now, several months later, she has taken the puppet ball from us and run with it in this new video for “Honey Honey” directed by frequent Arts & Crafts collaborator Anthony Seck. Which all goes to show you, always stick to your guns. Or not. Still probably not the best idea we’ve had.

Video: Kanye West, “Champion”

Gymnastics probably would’ve been funnier (see: Kanye muppet bouncing on flag), but anytime a major star decides to incorporate puppetry into their videography, we’re onboard, especially when the puppeteer appears to still be learning his trade. And Kanye does run. Directed by Neon, and, of course, debuted by Kanye.
