God’s Prey—New Line from the Designers of Rockers NYC

There have been rumblings of a new Rockers-fueled clothing line for a while now, but it wasn’t until the debut collection popped up on style blog Is Mental earlier today that our God’s Prey reveries were finally confirmed. The debut spring 2010 collection is called Infinity’s End and is equal parts boy and girl—like batwing pants and cocaine white motorcycle vests—although many of the voluminous pieces lend themselves to swapsies. Freeload: A Gun Called Tension’s Echo Bass Sessions Mixtape

The mega-MEGA-fam over at Rockers NYC, as you may know, are staying busy making your favorite t-shirt, but they also frequently grace us with the heavy pressure sounds of associated musical project A Gun Called Tension, which over the years has given us rude bwoy apocalypse jams like “Gold Fronts” and “Black Eyes”. Now, many of those jams, along with some newer ones, older ones, remixes, mashed potatoes and piano plinks have been collected on the Echo Bass Session mixtape and delivered free of charge to your listening device. In return, you should go spend some currency on any or every thing at the Rockers online store.

Style Video: Rockers NYC Spring/Summer ‘09 Collection

One of the reasons the Rockers NYC blog is such a must-check for us is how consistently excited they are about pretty much everything. Whether it’s music they’re pulling from the archives, new clothes or general rad shit. Every time we check it we find something new that can’t be overlooked. To preview their Spring/Summer ‘09 collection, Rockers have created a video combining musical mainstays like Nas’ “Made Ya Look” (still not tired of it!) with preview images of the line. This time around, we get glimpses of a bunch of new shirts, some crazy-patterned shorts and hats and a couple wild sweatshirts most likely made for people way cooler than us. As always, we’re sure this stuff will sell quickly, so stay tuned to their site for more or just catch us in the street wearing it and then feel bad you missed out.
