While watching this video, we turned to style editor Chioma Nnadi, and were like: Were white turtlenecks under blazers ever cool? And then she listed off like 20 people that looked good in them, and we felt kind of bad for not thinking of any of them. Then she told us that no one ever looks good in a mock turtleneck, which is totally true. Anyway, here’s The Last Shadow Puppets trying to look a lot like The Beatles. What you can’t see is us being unsure if they are taking the look a little too far, and then realizing that we don’t care because the song is good.

Look, we’re not saying we were first to do a video where some famous dudes play guitars in an intimate setting, and we definitely didn’t have them wearing MOCK TURTLENECKS in a recording studio that looks like a giant A-Frame or something, but we totally wish we were there sitting on the floor in our socks watching them play these songs. What were we talking about again? Alex Turner was in the Arctic Monkeys and now he is doing this and we’re totally cool with it because it is good.
